YSCC Volleyball players receive All-American recognition

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced the 2015 Women’s Volleyball All-American team last week, and two players from the YSCC received recognition. NHTI’s Carissa Archibald and Unity’s Jackie Collins each were named to the Honorable Mention All-American team.

ThreeYankee Small College Conference athletes were recognized by the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference this week for performances in their respective sports.

NHTI tops off perfect season with conference championship

The NHTI women's volleyball team topped off a perfect 10-0 conference season with a 3-0 victory over Unity College to win the Yankee Small College Conference Championship Saturday at NHTI. The victory assures the Lynx of a trip to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Tournament, set for November 4-7 at SUNY Canton in Canton, N.Y.

Volleyball Championships set for Saturday at NHTI

The Yankee Small College Conference volleyball teams wrapped up the regular season last weekend and the seeds are set for the conference championships Saturday at NHTI.

The freshman outside hitter helped lead the Lynx to a pair of conference victories over the weekend, notching 16 kills and four blocks as NHTI remained undefeated in conference play.

Mary Calabrese, Volleyball, Paul Smith’s College

The junior outside hitter notched 31 kills and 19 digs as the team went 2-2 for the week. Calabrese had 11 kills in a 3-1 victory of conference opponent NHTI and currently ranks second in kills per set and third in digs per set for the 4-1 Bobcats. She was named to the NHTI All-Tournament Team.
