YSCC crowns X-Country champions
Amherst, MA (YSCC) -- The NHTI men's Cross Country won the Yankee Small College Conference championship Saturday afternoon at Hampshire College. Hampshire College Women too home the top spot in the women's field.
NHTI had a score 23 points to top led by River Groves (Northwood, N.H.) who came in second overall running the 8K in 28:25. Andrew Shepard (Newbury, N.H.) finished third individually finishing at 29:39. Jason Schoeller (Pembroke, N.H.), Mason Foley (Goffstown, N.H.) and Mitchell Lavoie (Hudson, N.H.) finished fifth sixth and seventh respectively rounding out the winning team for the Lynx.
Hampshire topped UMA with 15 points.
Top two women's individual finishers were Rebecca Broadbent of Vermont Tech and Clara Wagner of Hampshire College.
Top male finishers were Joseph St. Cyr of Paul Smith's and River Groves of Hampshire College.
