SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (YSCC) -- The Yankee Small College Conference met in South Portland Friday to hand out yer end awards.

The league awarded Men's and Women's Player of the Year, All-Conference Team, Men's and Women's Coach of the Year and Men's and Women's Sportsmen of the year.

The YSCC is proud to announce John Morgan of Southern Maine Community College as the YSCC Men's Player of the year. 

According to Athletic Director Matt Richards, 'John Morgan is our most valuable player. He leads our team in scoring (7th in the YSCC for total points this season). He also ranks second on our team for FG% at 56.6% (6th in the conference on FG%).'

On the Women's side, the YSCC is proud to announce University of Maine Augusta player Jamie Plummer as YSCC Women's Player of the Year. 

UMA Moose Athletic Director Jennifer Laney said, 'She has been our vocal, mental, and physical leader for the past four seasons. She has worked through faceguards, double and triple team, and has achieved the stats. She has made an impact on every facet of our program and has helped to bring teammates up to new levels. Plummer is the all-time leading scorer and rebounder at UMA.'
