YSCC Launches New Website and Logo

YSCC Launches New Website and Logo

(YSCC) - The Yankee Small College Conference has adopted a new website and logo as part of an updated branding initiative. YSCC President Matt Richards applauded all those involved in the effort.

“As the YSCC continues its external marketing and branding efforts our membership felt that an update to our conference website and logo would be a catalyst to those efforts," said Richards. "I’m very thankful for the subcommittee and staff that spearheaded this work as well as our partners at Presto Sports for their support.”

NEW YANKEE SMALL CONFERENCE COLLEGE WEBSITE

The website redesign was our first in years, hoping to make our site more user-friendly, especially mobile devices.

The team wanted bold, sleek, easy-to-read screens that could translate on web and mobile applications. We have also included all of our social media account in high-profile places across the site.

One project essential for the committee was finding a way to honor the student/athletes of the YSCC. The team worked hard to build an archival database of accomplishments by student/athletes in all YSCC sports.

Championship committee member and University of Maine Augusta Athletic Director Jennifer Laney stressed the importance of recognizing our past.

"The new records and archive pages for each sport highlight the rich history of the YSCC," said Laney. "We are proud to recognize all of the incredible student-athletes and coaches who have left their mark on the conference in their respective sports."

NEW YANKEE SMALL COLLEGE CONFERENCE LOGO

The new logo utilizes the color scheme of those previous and pays tribute to the most recent design by the use of the "YSCC" font. The 2021 edition incorporates both the acronym and full name of the conference to enhance name recognition

This will be the third logo revision of the conference since its inception in 2005.

The YSCC Championship Committee spearheaded this effort driven by membership feedback and approval that spanned two weeks and over 500 logo submissions before final selection.

Vice President of the conference, Jennifer Laney comments, "Throughout this process, we wanted to be mindful of the rich history of our conference. We feel that our new logo pays homage to previous versions; with a modernized feel. We look forward to seeing our members and all of our student-athletes proudly wear YSCC gear branded with this new logo."
