YSCC Players of the Week - Spring Week 6

Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week six of the spring season.

Softball - Ella Voth (SMCC)

Ella Voth delivered a great performance at the plate for Southern Maine CC, batting .476 (10-for-21) with six extra-base hits, including three triples and three doubles. The sophomore from Lacombe, AB crossed home plate 10 times and had eight RBIs. Her week was highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance with two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs in a 5-3 victory against CCRI.

Baseball - Noah Bryan (YCCC)

Noah Bryan turned in a great two-way week for York County CC, contributing both on the mound and at the plate. Bryan pitched 9.0 scoreless innings across multiple appearances, striking out nine while earning a win and a save. Offensively, he went 5-for-12 at the plate with a home run and five RBIs to help the Hawks go 2-1 in three games.

Women's Track and Field - Alena Maes-Polan (Hampshire)

Alena Maes-Polan won three individual titles across multiple disciplines at the YSCC Track and Field Championships in Springfield, MA. The senior won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.41 seconds and took the pole vault crown by clearing 3.05 meters, more than a meter higher than her teammate in second place. She won javelin with a massive throw of 27.58 meters, leaving everyone else far behind and rounded out her day finishing fourth in high jump.

Men's Track and Field - Kayden Ames (UMA)

Kayden Ames was named the YSCC "Male Field Athlete of the Year" at the YSCC Championships in Springfield, MA this past weekend. The sophomore from Southport, ME scored 30 points for the Moose by dominating the throwing disciplines at American International College. Ames won the hammer with a throw of 37.75 meters, the discus with a length of 40.50 meters, and the shot put with a best effort of 12.73 meters.
