YSCC Players of the Week - Fall Week 7
Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week seven of the fall season.
Men's Soccer - Ian Rathbun (ACPHS)
Ian Rathbun continues to impress in his junior season. The Queensbury, NY native scored all five goals in a 5-0 win over VTSU-Randolph to wrap up the regular season. The Panthers forward leads the entire USCAA in goals (28) and points (60) this campaign.
Women's Soccer - Alaynah LeBlond (CMCC)
Alaynah LeBlond had a great game for the Mustangs on the road against UMaine Augusta, scoring a natural hat trick in the first half and adding two assists to help CMCC clinch the #2 seed in the YSCC East Division playoffs.
Volleyball - Isabella Higgins (CMCC)
Isabella Higgins led CMCC with 17 kills this week and a 21.2% hitting percentage. The sophomore middle blocker from Alabama was instrumental in the Mustangs win over UMaine Fort Kent to close out the regular season, picking up 14 kills, 11 digs, and 4 block assists to help the team come from two sets down to pick up a 3-2 win.
Men's Cross Country - Kevin Andrews (ACPHS)
Kevin Andrews took another 10 seconds off his best 8K time, running 33:01 at the Western New England University Golden Bear Invite. Andrews paced all Panthers and was the 3rd fastest conference finisher.
Women's Cross Country - Eva Fleurent (CMCC)
Eva Fleurent finished on the podium at the Thomas College Invitational in Waterville, ME. The freshman from Biddeford, ME took 3rd place overall in the NCAA DIII event with a time of 27:52.1 in the 6K race.
