YSCC Players of the Week - Fall Week 5

Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week five of the fall season.

Men's Soccer- Ian Rathbun (ACPHS)

Junior forward Ian Rathbun led the way for Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences last week, scoring five goals and adding two assists over two matches. Rathbun averaged 2.5 goals per game and posted an impressive .833 shot percentage, helping the Panthers to a 1-1 record on the week.

Women's Soccer - Hailey Knight (NHTI)

Goalkeeper Hailey Knight anchored the NHTI defense last week in two wins over Word of Life Bible Institute and Paul Smith's College this week. Knight made seven saves on eight shots across the two matches. She holds a 0.37 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage on the year, allowing just two goals all season.

Golf - Will Farschon (SMCC)

Will Farschon capped off an outstanding regular season with strong finishes at both the SMCC Invitational and the YSCC Championship. Farschon shot a combined 148 (+5) on the week, placing 2nd and 3rd individually across the two tournaments. His consistent play earned him YSCC Golfer of the Year, All-Conference, and All-Tournament honors, backing the Seawolves' success all fall.

Volleyball - Dalia Nelson (SMCC)

Sophomore defensive specialist Dalia Nelson ran the Seawolves' back line last week, averaging 4.09 digs per set and totaling 45 digs across three matches. Nelson also added seven service aces and seven assists, while posting a .994 reception percentage on 72 attempts. Nelson's consistent defensive play and strong serve receive performance helped SMCC earn a 3–0 win over USCAA Division I opponent UMaine-Fort Kent.

Men's Cross Country - Porter Peloquin (VTSU-Randolph)

Sophomore runner Porter Peloquin cut 0:55 off of his personal best 8K time, finishing 21st overall at the WOLBI Huskies Invitational with a time of 31:01.3.

Women's Cross Country - Jayden Bourgeois (ACPHS)

Freshman Jayden Bourgeois continued an exceptional debut season for Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a top-10 finish at the Word of Life Huskies Invitational. Bourgeois cut two minutes off her 6K personal record, helping lead ACPHS to a second-place team finish while topping two conference opponents in the process.

Baseball - Noah Bryan (York County)

Freshman outfielder Noah Bryan was outstanding in York County's 4–0 week, making an impact both at the plate and on the mound. Bryan hit .533 from the leadoff spot with a .632 on-base percentage, scoring seven runs and stealing three bases to bring his fall total to a conference-leading 14. On the bump, he threw six innings against NJCAA Region 21 opponent Bunker Hill CC, allowing just one earned run while striking out nine.
