Southern Maine CC wins Softball Title

CONCORD, N.H. — NHTI, Concord's Community College was the host site for the YSCC Softball Championship Tournament.

In the first semi-final game Central Maine Community College downed NHTI 5-4 and in the second semi-final game Southern Maine Community College topped Eastern Maine Community College 8-4.

Southern Maine Community College and Central Maine Community College then played in the YSCC Softball Championship game where Southern Maine prevailed 11-9 to capture the YSCC Softball title.

Kathryn Gillio (SMCC) was named the tournaments best defensive player, Nicena Walker (CMCC) was the tournaments best offensive player, and Lindsey Howell (SMCC) was named the tournament MVP.
