Women’s Cross Country
Paige Wiechman – UMM
Finished 1st out of 69 women at the Umaine Farmington meet which had 8 teams from the top Maine DIII programs. She had a time of 21:38 for the 5 K race in her first collegiate race. Lead the race from start to finish
Men’s Cross Country
Matt Piper – Paul Smith
Matt Piper paced the Paul Smith’s College men’s XC team to a 7th place finish in a time of 20:59.2 over a 6-kilometer course at the State University of New York – Institute of Technology (SUNY-IT) course in Utica, NY.
Golf
Alex McFarlane – SMCC
On Monday, September 5th Alex was Medalist at the first YSCC match at Willowdale Golf Club. In his first collegiate match, he shot a 71 on the par-70, 18 hole course.
Women’s Soccer
Melinda Gray – Unity
Melinda scored 2 goals in an opening conference win over University of Maine Machias including the game winner with 9 minutes gone in overtime. She played well in a loss to the University of Maine at Presque Isle too
Men’s Soccer
Ryan Lawley – Paul Smith
Ryan Lawley led the Paul Smith’s College men’s soccer team to a 4-3 victory against NHTI by scoring three goals and assisting on the 4th. Lawley has not only established himself as a capable shooter and team player, but has also demonstrated a contagious enthusiasm for soccer and competition. Lawley has had a hand in every PSC goal; following up this season opener he also provided the game-winning assist as the Bobcats defeated the College of St. Joseph 1-0 in overtime on Sunday, September 4.
Baseball
Jake Mills – NHTI
Jake Mills (Manchester, NH) is a freshman IF from NHTI. In a double header versus rival Central Maine CC this past weekend Mills has six hits and right RBI’s in two games. With the help of Jake the Lynx remain undefeated at 4-0 on the early season.
