Three repeat winners in YSCC Player of the Week awards

(YSCC) -- Three student-athletes repeat as winners of YSCC Player of the Week awards. 

GOLF
Trevor Moore | NHTI | FR

Trevor Moore of the NHTI is the USCAA Men's Golfer of the Week for a second week in a row. The freshman from New Hampshire was the individual champion at the University of Maine Augusta match with a round score of 76.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Dana Demore | NHTI | SR

Finished in 28th place leading the Lynx at the Keene State Invitational.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Tyler Dunham | Vermont Technical College | FR

In the state meet held at Northern VT University, Tyler finished 30th of 62 runners. He ran faster than runners from DIII schools that had previously beat him. Tylers time for the 8K very hilly course was 34:28

BASEBALL
Dylan Francoeur | Southern Maine CC | P/1B

Dylan Francoeur took the hill for seven innings against the College of St. Joseph on Sunday, Sept 30 to allow just five hits and one earned run over nine strikeouts. He contributed with two hits in eight at-bats, one a home run in the game he pitched. He walked three times and scored three runs as a batter in three games over the weekend.

SOFTBALL
Briana Connolly | NHTI | SO | OF

Perfect in the field including being a part of a double play on an outfield assist. Had 2 home runs, 4 stolen bases, 6 RBIs, and 8 runs scored

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Megan Cote | University of Maine Machias | FR | G

Megan Cote of University of Maine Machias is the USCAA Women's Division II Soccer Goalie of the Week. Megan played three games this week, with two of them being shutouts. She was able to reel in 12 saves over the three games. Cote recorded a save percentage of 0.857 and goals against average of 0.67 during the week.

MEN'S SOCCER
Mikell McKenzie | Vermont Tech | MF

Mikell dominated the attack in the Vermont Tech Knight's two games this past week, scoring four times in the first match and scoring the decisive lone goal in the second match, versus Unity College. For the season, he now has 10 goals in 8 games. In both matches this week, his skillful tackling foiled numerous attempts to clear the ball, and fresh attacks for VTC were routinely initiated from his feet.

VOLLEYBALL
Amelia Sheedy | Great Bay C.C.

Amelia Sheedy, a senior outside hitter, of Berwick had a spectacular performance this weekend for the Herons. She dominated on the court throughout the weekend on the road. She had over 29 kills, 17 service aces, and 21 digs. Amelia led the team in kills and service aces. Her infectious, positive attitude and intensity assisted the team in winning 4 straight games this over the weekend. The Herons did not lose one set this weekend, making this road win-streak even more remarkable. Amelia has improved her game tremendously this season and she really brought her game to a new level this past weekend.
